The most beautiful smile is not the whitest one.
It is the smile that looks as though it was always meant to be there.
I design every smile around balance, proportion and function. Every face is different. So the smile has to suit your face, your age, your personality and your natural features. I don’t make identical “perfect” smiles.
What I look at
A beautiful smile is rarely accidental.
The golden proportion
Seen from the front, the front teeth should reduce in width in a gentle sequence, from the central incisors to the canines. Beauty can’t be reduced to one formula, but these proportions are a valuable guide.
The smile arc
The edges of the upper teeth should gently follow the curve of the lower lip. The position and angle of each tooth matter as much as straightness.
Gums and emergence
How each tooth comes out of the gum, and how even the gum line is, makes a smile look natural and youthful.

1989 – 1994BDS and internship, Bharati VidyapeethDuring my internship I worked with Dr Deepak Kulkarni, then the best oral surgeon in Pune, and with orthodontist Dr Sable. Working with the best in different branches of dentistry made me very versatile.
1994 – 1998Mumbai: St George Dental Hospital and Dr Sandesh MayekarMornings as a clinical assistant at St George Dental Hospital. Evenings with Dr Sandesh Mayekar, the pioneer of aesthetic dentistry in India. Three years with him deepened my love for aesthetic dentistry.
1998My own practice in PuneSmile Studio, which I still run today.
2007Aesthetic dentistry, NYUCompleted a certified course at New York University College of Dentistry and presented a thesis on diastema closure, using cases from my own practice.
